Workplace Investigations

Workplace Investigations

We conduct impartial workplace investigations respecting allegations of bullying, harassment, discrimination, as well as other alleged misconduct. We make conclusive findings respecting the allegations, and can provide recommendations to get your workplace back on track. We take a trauma-informed, culturally-sensitive approach to investigations and understand that timely completion of an investigation is important for all parties involved.

Frequently Asked Questions?

I'm an employer, what's the value of written employment agreements for my staff?

Having written employment agreements in place for all employees is essential in order to clarify and set out the terms of employment for each of your team members.  Without written employment agreements, an employer can be required to provide a departing employee common law notice of termination. This can be considerably higher than the notice required by the Employment Standards Act and be a significant liability for employers.

Why should our company hire a 3rd party workplace investigator?

When a workplace investigation is required, ensuring a comprehensive and objective investigation process is paramount. An experienced and skilled investigator outside of your organization, with knowledge of the applicable law, can help ensure a neutral and thoughtful process.

What kind of employment issues can be mediated?

Wrong dismissal, human rights, workplace conflict and almost any other workplace issue.
